3 Apr 2025 - XUV700 - Tow Bar Wiring Harness Modification

Dear Valued Mahindra Customer,

We are writing to inform you of an important safety recall regarding the tow bar wiring harness in your vehicle.

Issue and Precaution:

To ensure your safety while towing, we are introducing a modification to the wiring harness that will deactivate the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system when a trailer is attached. This modification is necessary to avoid the activation of the AEB system while the trailer is connected, ensuring safe towing conditions.

Action Required:

We will be replacing the existing wiring harness with a new modified one, and we would like to assure you that this replacement will be performed at no cost to you.

In the meantime, we kindly request that you refrain from using your trailer until the modified wiring harness has been installed.

Booking Your Inspection:

Our team will be in touch with you shortly to schedule a convenient time for you to bring your vehicle in for the modification.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team at 0800 282 726 or email us at admin@mahindra.co.nz

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. We look forward to assisting you and ensuring your safety on the road.
